A technique is described whereby a single machine combines multiple functions in the processing and manufacture of semiconductor chips. The machine, called Auto Chip Transfer Tool (ACTT), combines a number of functions, such as multi-chip transfer, full orientation check, part number check, chip repositioning between input and output, simultaneous Linear Device Bank (LDB) and square bank handling, and multiple chip size handling, into single machine.
