Paper-Reversing Guide for Duplex Printing

Duplex printing is achieved by passing the paper through one side of the print station, turning the paper over and passing it through the other side of the print station, and printing on the reverse side of the paper as it passes through the print station the second time. A paper-reversing guide is provided which makes the feed path more compact so that it can be contained entirely within the covers of the printer. As shown in Fig. 1, a continuous web of paper 10 is moved vertically from container 11 through the left side of print station 12 over a paper guide structure 24 by tractors 13 and 14.
