Abstract

This article describes a method by which users of a manufacturing accounting and production information control program may enter an order using a minimum number of displays and entries. Only three displays are required to enter a valid order: the Customer Order Data, the Basic Item Entry, and the Customer Order Entry Status. The presentation sequence of the three basic displays is an application standard and can be changed by the operator during the initial presentation of the Customer Order Data display. The operator can choose to replace the display of the Customer Basic Item display with the Customer Detail Item display. This change remains in effect until the operator signs off of data entry or changes the display pattern again.
