This innovative, conductive, elastomeric gasket provides adjacent main frame computer doors to be connected with a non-interrupted seal, which enables the doors to be folded together, to allow access to the inside of the machine. The cross sectional drawing shows the cover panels in various stages of closure using the conductive gaskets. The gasket 1, when inserted into the opening 2, pushes the oversize shielding foil 3 into the opening, providing continuous, complete EMC (electromagnetic compatibility). The gasket is extruded from a conductive, carbon-black loaded elastomer, which allows ease of dispersion, fast curing, good physical properties, and relatively low durometers.
