In a method of locating a CRT 1 in an apertured enclosure 2, the CRT has two spaced location areas 3 and 4 on the bottom run, and a location area 5 on one side run, of the rim band 6 around the front viewing screen face 7. During manufacture, the CRT 1 is supported in an accurate jig contacting the rim band at the location areas and the yoke assembly position adjusted until the displayed image on the CRT screen is square to the three support parts of the jig. The yoke assembly is then bonded to the CRT. For assembly in the apertured enclosure, the latter has three support parts 8, 9 and 10 similar to those of the jig, and a front bezel ring 11 square to those parts. The enclosure 2 also has four corner supports 12 corresponding to four mounting lugs 13 on the corners of the CRT rim band 6.
