Cable retainer l serves to hold flat cable connector 2 in block assembly 3 without the use of screws. Cable retainer l is inserted through aperture 4 of block assembly 3 until keepers 5 lock it in place. Flat cable connector l may then be plugged into block assembly 3 to make the connection between flat cable 6 and the system connected to block assembly 3. When fully inserted, the flat cable connector 1 allows latch finger 7 to spring over the upper edge 8 and hold the connector in place.
