Forecasting Consumer Demand for Software Products

With a growing number of companies producing software products and a growing number of customers using them, the question arises as to how to develop and provide the software products the market needs most. To facilitate an answer to this question, an algorithm has been developed which makes it possible to select and describe the main properties pertinent to any group of products based on customers' preferences. By varying the values of properties' characteristics, it is possible to simulate different products for their evaluation before real products are developed and released. This is helpful in making the proper design decisions in the development of successful, highly competitive products.
