Abstract

A standard screw requires the use of a tool in order to be tightened. A customer setup fastener screw is designed so that it may be tightened or loosened without the use of tools. A wire-formed handle 11 is positioned in a standard slotted screw head 12. Screw head 12 is deformed by swaging or punching to retain handle 11, while still allowing it to pivot or slide. The freedom of the handle 11 to pivot and slide allows flexibility to avoid hitting adjoining hardware while loosening or tightening.
