Abstract

A rotatable cam 10 positioned above the second module position B at the end of a module feed track 12 will prevent the modules 14 from shingling or riding up on each other as the first module slides down the track and impacts against the end stop 16. At position 1, surface 22 of cam 10 is horizontal and lies just above the modules 14. In this position the modules are free to slide and will not shingle or ride up because of the low clearance. After the modules have slid into place, cam 10 attached to a rotary actuator at pivot point 20 is rotated to move the cam from above the first module position A allowing a robotic arm to pick up the module. As the cam rotates, the module 14 at position B will be clamped by the lower portion of the cam.
