Abstract

A pin-feed tractor device is commonly used to feed continuous paper forms through printers. A frequently experienced problem is that the pins of the tractor device tend to deform the holes in the paper as they disengage. The deformed holes prevent the paper from lying flat and preclude proper stacking, as shown in Figure 1. The addition of a ramp surface eliminates this problem by lifting the paper partly off the pin just before the pin starts to disengage.
