Fixture For Accurate Artwork Registration
Original Publication Date: 1979-Jan-01
Included in the Prior Art Database: 2005-Feb-19
The fixture illustrated in Fig. 1 permits accurate and repeatable registration of masks for two-sided exposure of resist-coated objects, such as printed-circuit blanks. Pairs of inter-engaging ball and cone assemblies 1-4, at the four corners of the fixture, permit universal relative adjustment of the upper and lower frame members 5 and 6. These members, which respectively retain the artwork masks for top-side and bottom-side exposure of the unillustrated (resist-coated) object to be exposed, assemble to form the fixture. The upper mask, for top-side exposure, is suggested at 7. The registered frame members are held together by clamping devices suggested at 8 and 9.
