Single Keybutton Four-Way Switch

Four switches 10 (Fig. 1) are arranged for individual nonsimultaneous actuation using a single keybutton 12. A selection stalk 14 (see also Fig. 2) is connected to the keybutton 12 and includes motion-constrain- ing feet 16 that move in guide slots 18 defined in a selection block 20 (Fig. 3). The slots 18 of block 20 are perpendicular to one another and the top block surface 22 is rounded to permit a rocking motion (indicated in phantom lines with motion exaggerated) by the flat keybutton to cause one of a set of pins 24 to activate a corresponding one of the switches 10.
