Abstract

Magnetic bubble domain devices often use overlays of NiFe and conductors, such as gold. The conductor layer is formed prior to deposition of the NiFe layer for conductor-first SLM (single level metallurgy) devices. An intermediate layer is often used between the gold layer and the NiFe layer, but the use of such an intermediate layer sometimes affects the processing used to make the device.
