This search box also supports the look-up of an IP.com Digital Signature (also referred to as Fingerprint); enter the 72-, 48-, or 32-character code to retrieve details of the associated file or submission.
Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Interchangeable Keyboard Components
Keyboard components are manufactured for use with both a 96-character
keyboard and a 92-character keyboard.
A capacitive keyboard includes a circuit card 11 having drive pads 13, drive
pad couplings 15 and sense pads 17. Depression of a keybutton 19 causes
associated fly plate 21 to lift away from intimate contact with associated drive pad
coupling 15 and sense pad 17. This motion of fly plate 21 causes a change in
capacitance between the drive pad 13, carrying a drive signal thereon, and its
associated sense pad 17, thereby indicating key actuation.
In order to utilize the same circuit card 11 for both a 96 character keyboard
and a 92-character keyboard, the sense pad 17a is associated with drive pad
13a when utilizing a 96-character keyboard, as depicted in Fig. 1, and is utilized
in conjunction with drive pad 13b when a 92-character keyboard is employed.
The keybutton 19c, which is larger than character keybuttons 19a and 19b, can
thus be centered over the sense pad and drive pad coupling.
