Abstract

Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of the image area visible indicator system for a document glass in a copier. Documents to be scanned by the copier are placed on the document glass in reference to the lower left-hand corner. Indicator lights 12 and 14 are movable to indicate the area of document glass which will appear in the copy. Indicator 12 is moved by flexible cable 16, such as a garter spring. The flexible cable 16 which drives indicator 12 is confined in a channel 18. Similarly, the flexible cable, or spring 20, that drives indicator 14 is confined in channel 22. Cable 16 and its channel 18 wrap pulley 24, and the end of the flexible cable is fixably attached at point 26 on pulley 24. Flexible cable 20 and its channel 22 wrap pulley 28. Flexible cable 20 is attached at point 30 on pulley 28.
