The above drawing depicts a three phase magnetic amplifier. The magnetic amplifier is fabricated from an E core 10, which consists of a plurality of E laminations stacked on top of one another to a desired height. Coils (Image Omitted)A, (Image Omitted)B and (Image Omitted)C are wound on each of the respective legs of E core 10. Each phase of the three phase input signal is connected to the coil on each of the E core legs. A control core 12, fabricated from I shaped laminations stacked on one another to a desired height, is seated on the legs of the E core. A control winding is wound on the control core.
