Conventional forms fill-in is primarily a typewriter operation with certain inefficiencies: (1) significant operator intervention Is required to position the text data on each form produced; (2) the operator must retype FIXED text data on each form produced; (4) error correction is difficult on multipart forms; (5) non-standard "6 lines/inch" line spacing is common on forms; (6) forms are usually optimized for the reader. When filling-in a form, the operator will make multiple references to several documents to find the text data required.
