A circuit is provided utilizing a series of junction diodes for temperature sensing. Junction diodes are used in combination with a comparator which may be preadjusted to any given sensing temperature level. This offers a simple and inexpensive expedient for temperature monitoring in electronic equipment. Junction-type diodes have an inherent characteristic that allows more current flow with an increase in junction temperature. The present circuit, shown in the figure, takes advantage of this characteristic to sense when predetermined temperatures are reached.
