Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Variable Minimum Interword Spacing
The minimum escapement between words printed by a proportional spacing
machine is variable under operator control.
With the print carrier at the left margin, the operator
depresses an interword escapement code key. A prompting message is
displayed by the printer requesting the operator to enter a digit
representing the desired minimum interword space size in units.
The digit is encoded in memory following a control identifier code.
Depression of the space key following entry of the minimum space
digit causes print carrier escapement equal to the digit value.
The minimum interword space value and the control identifier code are stored
with the text in memory. When the minimum interword space value code is
encountered during an entry mode playout of memory, the prompt and entered
digit are printed out, and the following text is spaced according to the minimum
interword space value. In copy mode playout, the prompt and digit are not
printed, but the following text is spaced according to the entered value.
