Controlling Minor Bit By Diffusion On Magnetic Heads

In the prior art, two primary methods are used for reducing the minor bit phenomenon. Firstly, all sharp edges located on the surface of the magnetic head which faces the medium are slanted. This ensures that the edges are not parallel to a written bit on the medium. Secondly, separation of the medium from the head, such as by extended core length or buried corners, is used.
