Abstract

Grommet 10 is inserted into opening 11 in a frame 12. Cable 13 with large loops 14 and 15 is passed through the grommet opening 16, as shown in Fig. 1. Flexible extension 17 attached to the body of grommet 10 Curing the molding process is folded and threaded through loops 14 and 15. Cable 13 is then drawn taut from both ends to close the loops 14 and 15 to grip the upper and lower portions of extension 17, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3. With this arrangement cable 13 becomes strain relieved and has the inherent chafing guard of the grommet.
