Abstract

Paste encapsulated connector device 10 is a cylindrical conductive tube 1 which has a conductive pluggable pin 2 affixed, e.g., by a weld joint 3, to its closed end. Tube 1 is filled with a conductive paste 4 and retained therein by a silicone rubber compound stopper 5, which is inserted in the open end of tube 1 and held in place by the circumferential detent 6 formed in the wall of tube 1. The outer face 7 of stopper 5 is conically tapered inwardly to form a lead-in to the axial center aperture 8. Paste 4 is a suitable conductive material, such as palladium dust or copper particles P suspended in silicone oil.
