Emitter Coupled Random Access Memory Cell Having Self Contained Current Source Transistor

The value of the required power supply voltage for an emitter coupled random-access memory cell is reduced by providing a current source transistor and its resistor within each cell. The reduction in power supply voltage is with respect to the alternative design of placing only a current equalization resistor in each cell and providing a common current source transistor and its resistor outside the cell to supply all cells on a common word line.
