Abstract

Under certain circumstances, it is necessary, or desirable, to anneal printed circuitry which has exposed copper lines. It has been found that if exposed copper is annealed in an inert atmosphere, any oxidation on the copper surface migrates deeper into the copper and is harder to remove after annealing than before annealing.
