The definition of a testing environment is required to test LSI (large scale integration) packages. This environment consists of a plurality of electrical values that replace the logic 0's and 1's of the test patterns at the tester. A set of these electrical values is required for each test type that the LSl package is subjected to. The system flow of ITLG (Interactive Technology Library Generator) is disclosed in the IBM Technical Disclosure Bulletin 20, 3147-50 (January 1978). It creates a technology data base in an interactive mode, and allows the user to enter the necessary values directly in the final technology library without having to generate in the process a voluminous documentation for intermediate libraries, as was the norm previously.
