Multiple Regulator Controls Using Diversion Switches

A power load often consists of several levels with a wide range of power requirements on the different levels. Several of these levels may require sufficiently close regulation as to need individual feedbacks from their respective outputs. The switching regulators illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2 each provide plural feedback loops for this purpose. In each case, an overall primary feedback loop controls one output, and one or more secondary loops divert power required for corresponding additional outputs. The primary loop compensates for its own load and the variations in the other outputs.
