Address Generation For Array Testing

For exercising or testing a memory array, a pseudo random sequence generator may be employed. The sequence should repeat at a multiple of the address space of the array. Thus, the Hamming distances in the address stream become normally distributed and more representative of actual array operation than with classical generation methods (e.g., a binary counter, giving a binary distribution of distances, grey code generator, etc.).
