Abstract

This article describes a device for automatically locking the keyboard interposers of a typewriter in a secure position to eliminate keyboard lockup when electrical power to the typewriter is interrupted. When power is interrupted to a conventional keyboard that is mechanically connected to a switch in the ON position, the interposers are not secure and may lock up.
