Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Metallized Transmission Line Interconnection
The arrangement provides EMC (electro-magnetic capability) protection
through the connector in an integral form without impacting serviceability.
Tri-lead cable provides a compromise to coax performance, but it uses lower
cost termination techniques. Higher levels of EMC protection require integral
shielding equivalent to coax. Improvements over tri-lead can be realized with
metallization techniques which approach coax cable electrical properties while
maintaining the simpler termination procedures for tri-lead and twin-lead. It is
proposed that termination of metallized transmission lines be accomplished
integrally to board connectors, retainers and stiffener.
The connectors shown in Figs. 1 and 2 consist of printed-circuit and plastic
elements which terminate multiples of tri-lead for retention within a "retainer" to
be mounted to an aluminum stiffener.
Fig. 1 illustrates a metallized plastic connector which commons the metallized
transmission lines 26 to the connector signal ground plane 24 by conductive
adhesive 28. More particularly, the connector consists of a plastic housing half
10 having two "V" shaped protuberances 12 displaced from one another a short
distance. A housing half 14 is provided having a "V" shaped proturberance 16
extending from the housing 14 of a size and location to fit into the open area
between the protuberances 12 of the housing half 10 when the housing halves
are assembled. The mating sur...
