Document Identification By Codes Embedded In Printed Text
Original Publication Date: 1979-Jul-01
Included in the Prior Art Database: 2005-Feb-20
For security, traceability and other purposes, a printed document may contain printed codes identifying the document and/or each individual copy thereof. Existing codes for this purpose, however, can frequently be masked out or otherwise destroyed during reproduction, either intentionally or unintentionally. Also, codes involving conspicuous overprinting can be visually distracting to the reader.
