Abstract

The stand-off 10 is used on a circuit module cover 12 for shock cushioning. It is curved to flex when the cover 12 is set on a flat surface, and extends beyond the edge of the cover 12 to absorb shock when the module is bumped against. There are four stand-offs 10 molded as an integral part of the plastic cover 12, one in each corner. The cover is used to prevent damage to the module during handling and transporting. The shape, dimensions, and material can be chosen to satisfy particular shock and vibration requirements.
