In the commercial world a great deal of information is transferred from one or more sheets of paper to other sheets of paper. Copying machines do not lend themselves to selective copying. Normally a person reads the information and either types or writes the required data. An example of such a situation is transferring information from one or more forms to a single form. Another example is composing a manuscript from several sources.
