The circuit diagram in Fig. 1 depicts an Energy Management System. The primary feature of this system is the use of two thermostats in each of a number of rooms in a facility. One thermostat has a high setting, such as 70 degrees, and the other thermostat has a low setting, such as 60 degrees. The rooms are paired in sets of two, and control of heating and/or air conditioning is predicated on giving one room in each pair priority over the other room. A timing pulse allows time sharing the energy when one room has slow recovery, a malfunction, or when both rooms are in conflict.
