Abstract

Connector 1 permits electrically connecting wire 2 to spring contact pin 3 and disconnecting them, if required. Wire 2 can be inserted into connector 1 from both sides. Wire 2 and connector 1 are electrically linked via snap ring 4. After insertion of wire 2 into connector 1, the latter is pressed into a corresponding bore 6 of an insulating body by means of an auxiliary tool. Connector 1 is provided with a gear-type outer profile 7 to ensure that it stays in place. It is also possible to insert wire 2 into connector 1 from the right and to insert from the left a contact pin with a spring nose which detachably engages flanged area 8.
