Typical power boards used in modern electronic packaging require heavy and wide lands to carry the relatively heavy current required by power components, such as transformers, capacitors and diodes. These same power boards have, in recent implementations, begun to require denser wiring to support highly integrated control circuitry. This requirement necessitates the use of fine lines and close spacing thereof to satisfy the wiring density criteria, particularly on a one or two sided power board.
