Currently, most load modules are modified at module fetch time by address relocation in the A-type Address Constants (Acons) and V-type Address Constants (Vcons) of the load. This costs directly, in that the Fetch program must do the work of relocation, and indirectly, in that a single auxiliary storage image of such a load module cannot serve as the external page storage for all uses of the module.
