Abstract

Figs. 1-3 illustrate a four-bar linkage arrangement for mounting a blower assembly 11 relative to a motor 14 and support shelf 17. Impeller 12 is driven from one end of a shaft 13 of the pivotally mounted motor 14, the opposite end 15 of which is provided with a pulley 16 to drive another driven element (not shown). The motor 14 is pivotally mounted to permit placement of the belt on the two pulleys. The blower assembly 11 is mounted relative to the motor 14, and the shelf 17 by means of a four-bar linkage arrangement to permit the outlet 18 of the assembly 11 to mate with a fixed member, such as a filter 19, with a minimum of movement in the vertical direction. The blower assembly is free to rotate about the motor axis.
