Many power supplies include a primary or "host" source or regulator transformer coupled to relatively low voltage, high current output load circuits. The "host" could be line AC, 400-cycle AC with or without regulation, or a ferroresonant or transistor switching regulator, for example. Accordingly, only the secondary of the host coupling transformer T1 is shown herein. The primary would be driven by such a host.
