Abstract

A bubble generator 10 includes a bubble nucleator 12 having a permalloy pattern 14 over a conductor 16 in combination with a separate replicator 18 that does not have a conductor. A bubble is nucleated by the nucleator 12 and propagated with a rotating inplane field along the C-bar elements 20 to the replicator 18. The replicator 18 then replicates a bubble that is propagated to C-bar element 22. The bubble generator l0 has increased operating margins, eliminated electron migration problem in the conductor and eliminated excessive local heating problem, compared to prior art generators that nucleate and replicate with the same permalloy pattern.
