By using a frozen liquid, such as ice, or a frozen gas as a temporary and readily removable holder, a contact strip arrangement can be clamped to register with a circuit board into which it is inserted at a later stage. Such an insertion method eliminates semiautomatic or fully automatic machines otherwise required for such purposes, thus offering considerable savings in cost and maintenance work, as well as a high degree of flexiblity in connection with a variety of products and contact arrangements.
