Abstract

Gas discharge display systems may employ an associated input device such as a light pen or data tablet. However, certain applications such as teaching machines or screen menu selection may require only a low resolution, low cost device such as a finger-actuated input. A low resolution input device comprises a transparent moveable plate 11 covering the display area ruled at equal increments by horizontal lines 13, 15, 17, 19 and vertical lines 21-24. A rigid frame assembly includes a corner bracket 25 into which frame members 27 and 29 are secured, these members in turn being attached to the opposite end of the frame 31 through screws 33 and 35. The frame assembly includes an L-shaped device 37 which, in combination with tension members 39 and 41, maintains the plate 11 in alignment relative to the corner member 25.
