Digital Filtering by Complex Polynomial Transforms

In a recent paper published in Electronics Letters, 13, 386-387 (June 23, 1977), polynomial transforms have been introduced and used for performing digital filtering. Complex polynomial transforms are here introduced and used to evaluate digital convolutions and thus to implement one- and two-dimensional digital filters. (Image Omitted) Consequently, the complex polynomial transforms introduced here are particularly well suited for computing one- or two-dimensional digital filters operating on either real or complex data.
