As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the suspension system for positioning a flying magnetic head over a data track comprises four flexure straps A-D. Flexure strap D is fastened perpendicularly to flexure A. A rigid bracket E is supported by flexure D at opposite ends and via a formed flange F to flexures B and C. The slider G onto which the transducer (not shown) is fastened is bonded to the rigid bracket E via flanges H and I.
