Abstract

During their manufacture, random-access memory chips and modules are extensively tested by applying test patterns to them and determining their responses to the different patterns. Once a random-access memory has been installed and is in use in a data processing system, it is desirable that at power-on time, some check is made of it to determine that its full capacity is available.
