The present tool provides a means for easily replacing damaged pins on a module, thus eliminating the need for scrapping the module. A parallel gap welder is converted into a brazing tool by using the special brazing tip shown. The tip comprises two electrodes which are partially separated by an air gap which is of sufficient size to receive the shank of the pin to be bonded. A hole in the bottom of the tip communicates with the air gap for insertion of the pin. The power supply of the welder is modified to utilize capacitor charging and discharging circuit means for passing a single current pulse serially through the tips and the head of the pin.
