Abstract

Power modules incorporating transformers, heat sinks, etc., convert AC input voltage to the desired DC regulated output voltage. Each module has pins at its base for connection to a printed-circuit board. Three power modules 10 are shown in the drawing as being connected to printed-circuit board 15. A empty module position is also shown. Power sequencing is achieved by means of a graduated slide bar contactor 20, which can be operated by actuator 30, or be operated manually by an appropriate knob or lever (not shown). Power modules 10 are connected to solder pins 50, which facilitate configuration of the DC power modules. The printed-circuit board 15 is mounted to guide rails 70, which also receive a planar or circuit card 80. Power is transferred to the card 80 by connector pins 90.
