Animal or fowl identification data is presently manually gathered. This method implements the data taking electronically. This is based upon general principles used in other systems, such as the IBM Controlled Access System (CAS) intended for identification of people, but extending it to animal and fowl. The application area extends primarily to dairy cattle, livestock breeding, swine breeding and farming, or to any animal or fowl where constant statistical data-taking requirements are necessary for the history or characteristics of the creature.
