Temperature Compensating Circuit for ROS Array Select Circuit
Referring to the drawing, the reference voltage VA decreases in magnitudes
as the temperature rises. This, in turn, keeps the current constant in transistor
T7, since VBE (T7) falls in magnitude.
Since VA decreases in magnitude as the temperature rises, the switching
threshold voltage between the bases of T6 and T7 is increased. As a result, it will
take a longer time to turn off the array select transistor T6.
To maintain a relatively constant array select time and DC stability over a
wider temperature range, a temperature-compensating circuit is added to the
output of the true-complement generator (TCG).
As the temperature goes up, the VBE's of T1 through T4 decrease in
magnitude. Current IL increases and lowers the voltage at the bases of T5 and
T6. The base voltage of T6 tracks the base voltage VA of T7.
