A snap-action switch actuator mechanism is described. The mechanism provides the various human factor requirements, such as gradual increase in the feel of force applied to the key top, sudden snap action which promotes nonteasability, produces a quick reduction in force, and informs the operator that actuation has occurred, and a unique snap-action stroke which is independent of the key depression speed or pressure.
