Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Paper Handling Apparatus for Typewriter and Printers
The above figure illustrates a paper-handling apparatus for a typewriter
which includes a conventional set of feed rolls 10 mounted on shafts 12.
The end supports 14 which form, together with the shafts 12 and feed rolls
10, an assembly, are pivotally mounted on cantilevered arms 16. The
cantilevering effect is accomplished, even though the arms are pivotally mounted
at 18, by a leaf spring 20. Leaf spring 20 is fulcrum-supported at ridge 22 of rear
frame extrusion 24. Screw 26 is inserted into a mating screw thread in extrusion
24 and may be tightened to provide a variable bias on spring 20, thus controlling
the force of the feed rolls 10 against the platen 28.
The feed rolls 10 may be withdrawn from engagement with the platen 28 by
the paper release lever 30. Paper release lever 30 is formed in the shape of a
cam, having a cam surface 32 and a follower 34. Follower 34 is rigidly attached
to paper release bail 36. As paper release bail 36 is pivoted around its pivot
point 38 in side frame 40, it will cause the eccentric portions 42 of the paper
release bail 36 to force the arms 16 downward, thus relieving feed-roll pressure
against platen 28.
